This is a most excellent tutorial. I have several of these Poage water columns to weather, and have picked up some really good tips from this. Have you considered doing an update video using something like Vallejo paints, now that Model Master is difficult to find?

I hope you are still around to answer this: All the MTH, Lionel accessory/buildings I have come pre wired with a short length of very thin wire. It appears to me that you are using standard stereo speaker wire which is much thicker. AmI correct and,if so,how did you handle it- cut off what came with the pieces and start over with the clear wiring, thicker wiring ? Thanks !!

I have done as you have in the past. I've never used speaker wire.. I like the idea of it. I noticed that you chose copper for Positive and the aluminum for Ground.. what is the theory of this practice? I don't believe you just happened to do it this way.. there must be a reason for this method. Thank you for sharing.

I hate those fake horns to be honest. There’s many quiet zones I know of that don’t even use them, plus - trains honk 4 times (2 longs, 1 short and 1 long) just before they occupy the crossing, but wayside horns honk incessantly from the second the crossing bell starts ringing to the second the train leaves the crossing. The railroad should just get rid of those horns altogether and replace them with 4-quadrant gates since they would constitute increased protection at a quiet zone crossing.

I enjoyed the turnout building series. Do you have a video that covers where you paint the brass parts you installed in this video or can comment how and then adding ballast after the turnout is built - is that covered anywhere or can you provide any tips/methods? Thanks.

nice job, I place a drop of super glue into the fork or spade connector before the crimp, then crimp. So far good power flow and they do not come undone.

I have been trying to watch all you model railroading content as I am starting to hand lay track. Did you give up on your layouts? I have to dig through years of train watching to find the videos.

I think they all unload at Roberts Back BC Canada. And maybe even a few at North Vancouver Neptune terminal
